Stay: Lej da Staz

09.22.2010 | by: Kelly

Located in the shadow of Languard mountain range, this adorable 10-room Swiss hotel, Lej da Staz, is impressively consistent with its self-anointed “pure alpine chic” aesthetic: red-and-white plaid curtains, driftwood lamps, tree trunk side tables, folksy needlepoint pillows, wood paneling, sheepskin rugs and taxidermy. And since there are no cars allowed, there are directions on their website to the hotel by foot (it takes a half hour from the closest car-accessible location), mountain bike and horse and buggy. Horse and buggy!
